Nerd Hub Kenya announces Tekken 7 competition

Competitive Tekken players in Nairobi have some offline Tekken to look forward to in the near future. Recently opened and branding itself as "Kenya's first eSports center," Nerd Hub Kenya has announced competitions for both Tekken 7 and FIFA 21, both taking place on the weekend of 24–25 July. The gaming establishment, based in the affluent suburban area of Karen, announced a sizeable prize pool of Ksh. 140,000 for each competition; the winner, runner-up and second runner-up will be taking home Ksh. 80,000, Ksh. 40,000 and Ksh. 20,000, respectively.

The Nerd Hub Kenya Tekken 7 League is set to be the first notable offline Tekken event taking place in the country since Qualifier 2 of the TEKKEN 254 Circuit's fourth season on 29 February 2020; the season was suspended in March 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kenya.
